The artist Nic Blokk created this work for us. In the background one sees our beloved Menno-House, a house for many people. In the foreground is the Last Supper in a classical representation, Jesus in the middle surrounded by the Twelve like pearls on a necklace. Unlike the usual image showing all men, however, here we see a group of diverse people. Men, women, children, all types and sizes. Happy, amazed, grumpy, unusual, joyful. This picture demonstrates how there is room for everyone in Jesus' community. Everyone is called to join this new community with God and with each other. The congregation of God is made up of people like you and me, who, traveling together, encounter God's new world.
